About Us

Family Matters To Us

Our Crowder Family is diverse and respects each other.  Our diverse family is the spark that ignites our imagination and drives us to be better than our competitors. Crowder’s focuses on creating a workplace culture where everyone is treated fairly and respectfully, has equal access to opportunities and resources, and can fully contribute to the organization’s success.  We strive to create a supportive environment so everyone can succeed professionally and personally. Taking this proactive stand to create a family environment enables us to maintain a healthy work-life for every employee. At Crowder’s, we don’t just work with one another – we are a family.

Crowder's Landscaping

We understand that every member is unique and possesses knowledge and experience that may benefit the group, highlighting team values that bring them together and contribute to our team’s success. To inspire greatness inside and outside of work, we have created these core values to create a family environment for all who are employed at Crowder’s Landscaping, Inc. We put a lot of stock into hiring the right employees, training them to do their respective jobs well, and demonstrating this core value in their work and at home.

Our Core Values

Integrity

Integrity is the glue for our Crowder family’s success.  Only through the individual integrity of each employee can we uphold our reputation of being a business that has integrity.  It creates a positive culture of open communication, allows us to be honest and transparent in all customer communications, and gives us strong moral guidelines for all our decisions.  We accept full responsibility for our decisions, actions, and results.

Professionalism

At Crowder’s, professionalism is “the quality of how we show up to exceed standards, not only to produce greater efficiencies in our work but also greater participation with our community.” The professionalism we expect from our team is a collection of traits that make up an exceptional employee that transforms into success for the company.  These traits include reliability, competence, dependability, respect, and the last core value we discussed – integrity.

Accountability

Safety is how we do our business!  Ensuring the health and safety of employees to provide an accident-free workplace. Our responsibility is the safety and well-being of our people, customers, and community.  We understand that mistakes can be made while doing their job.  Being accountable keeps us proactive rather than reactive.  Their ultimate goals involve protecting the team, pushing praise down, and taking total ownership of mistakes and missed opportunities.

Positivity

For us, this means looking at things with a positive eye and an open mind, trying to see the good in things first. It’s about acknowledging that challenges will come our way but keeping a positive outlook.  By keeping a positive attitude, we can accomplish new and exciting challenges.  In doing so, we promote positive workplace creativity.

MEET OUR OWNER

PATRICK CROWDER

Owner/Operator

Originally from the Peach State of Georgia, I grew up loving the outdoors and dreamed of becoming a Georgia Bulldog. My Grandfather taught me how to climb trees, and I listened to his stories of climbing the West end of Sanford Stadium to watch baseball years ago. In 1999, that dream came true when I attended my first semester at the University of Georgia. After I went to college, my parents sold their Stone Mason family business and my childhood home and migrated to Florida for the sunshine and the beautiful Gulf waters.

In 2000 I transferred to St Petersburg College to complete a summer semester before pursuing my USF business major. There, I met my fantastic wife, and we were married after many years of dating. Before incorporating, Crowder’s Landscaping was a sole proprietor conducting business in Tampa Bay since 2004 with just a 3-man crew. Kristina and I were committed to growing our business and became incorporated in 2013. Today we have three children, and our teams consist of 4 divisions: Maintenance, Irrigation, Landscaping design/installation, and Landscape Lighting, and we regularly have a minimum of 40 members on staff.

We have seen significant growth and development over the years. In 2017, we moved to our current location off Livingston Rd, cultivated a fully operating nursery, and became a USF ITN best-value vendor for landscape services. We have remained a family-owned and operated business based on the belief that your needs come first. We continuously strive to develop lasting relationships at work and within the community while delivering a solid competitive product. Every day, I take pride in providing a professional service to the community that sustains our employees and their families through Crowder’s Landscaping, Inc.

Our managers and crew foremen are some of the best in the industry. We required them to take continuing education courses to ensure we are keeping up with the latest information on our industry standards. I encourage you to take some time to learn more about our employees by reading their short bios.
